Warm, Efficient, Code-Compliant—RGV Wide

Services for Heating System Installation

We design and install heating that balances comfort, efficiency, and budget. After a quick load/airflow check and equipment review, we help you choose the right path—heat pump, gas furnace + AC, electric air handler, or ductless—then plan any duct, electrical, gas, or venting updates. On install day we protect the work area, remove old equipment, set and connect the new system, and commission it to manufacturer specs for safe, reliable heat.

We install & replace:

  • Heat pump systems (all-electric; add electric auxiliary heat as needed)
  • Gas furnaces + AC/coil (single/two-stage & variable-speed)
  • Electric air handlers with heat strips
  • Ductless mini-splits (heating & cooling)
  • Package units/rooftops (light commercial)
  • Smart thermostats (wiring/adapters as needed)

Code items & best practices (as applicable):

  • Load/airflow review and duct static-pressure checkLoad/airflow review and duct static-pressure check
  • New or flushed line set for heat pumps; nitrogen braze, pressure test & deep vacuum
  • Gas sizing & leak/pressure test, sediment trap, shutoff, flex/valve to code
  • Venting/combustion air (80% metal flue vs. 90+% PVC/condensate)
  • Breaker/disconnect/whip sizing, dedicated circuit, and surge protection
  • Condensate traps, secondary pans, float safeties where required

Upgrades & options:

  • Efficiency tiers (HSPF2/SEER2/AFUE), variable-speed air handlers & ECM blowers
  • Duct sealing/repairs, added returns, and balancing
  • High-MERV filtration/media cabinets; UV/IAQ accessories (on request)
Old equipment haul-away, neat workmanship, and a homeowner walkthrough included.

Heat Pump vs. Gas Furnace vs. Electric Heat — What Fits Best?

  • Heat pumps shine in our mild Rio Grande Valley winters—they cool like AC and heat efficiently, often lowering energy use. Add aux/strip heat for rare cold snaps.

  • Gas furnaces deliver strong, quick heat if you already have natural gas. Pair with a matching AC coil for balanced comfort; variable-speed models improve quiet and airflow.

  • Electric air handlers are simple and all-electric, but strip heat costs more to run; great as backup or in small spaces.

  • Not sure? Dual-fuel pairs a heat pump with a gas furnace: use efficient heat-pump heating most days, switch to gas on colder nights. Whatever you choose, proper sizing and duct airflow matter as much as the nameplate rating (HSPF2/AFUE).

When to Replace Your Heating System

Frequent breakdowns, uneven rooms, rising winter bills, short-cycling or constant aux heat, noisy or failing blowers, a cracked heat exchanger or burner issues, yellow/fluctuating flames, soot/rust, repeated refrigerant leaks (for heat pumps), or older gear (heat pumps/AC ~10–15 years; furnaces ~15–20) are strong replacement cues. We’ll compare repair vs. replace with clear pricing so you can choose confidently.

What to Expect with Treviño Repairs

Our Heating System Installation Process

  1. Assess & Options. Review comfort goals, room loads, and existing ducts/electrical/gas/venting; present HSPF2/SEER2/AFUE choices with pricing.

  2. Protect & Prep. Shoe covers, drop cloths, safe shutoffs, and staging for a clean install.

  3. Remove Old Equipment. Recover refrigerant (if present), disconnect utilities, and haul away neatly.

  4. Set Equipment. Level pad or set furnace/air handler; verify clearances/support; route venting/combustion air for gas furnaces.

  5. Connect Services.

    • Heat pump: install/flush line set, nitrogen braze, pressure test, deep vacuum.

    • Gas furnace: size gas line, leak/pressure test, sediment trap; connect vent/condensate for 90+% units.

    • All systems: drains with traps/float safety, breaker/disconnect/whip, thermostat wiring.

  6. Commissioning. Verify temperature rise (furnace), superheat/subcooling & airflow (heat pump), static pressure, blower speeds, safeties, and quiet operation.

  7. Clean Up & Walkthrough. Tidy the area, review filter/drain care and thermostat basics, provide model/serials and warranty info.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Heating System Installion Questions, Answered

Straightforward answers before you book—symptoms, costs, fixes.

Heat pumps work very well in our mild winters and can lower energy use; gas furnaces are great where gas is available and you want stronger supply-air temps. We’ll compare comfort and operating costs—or offer dual-fuel for the best of both.

Most like-for-like swaps finish in a day. Duct changes, electrical/gas/venting updates, or multi-zone/ductless installs can add time—we’ll outline the schedule up front.

We test static pressure/airflow. If returns are undersized or ducts leak, targeted fixes protect the new system and improve comfort.

Yes—permits/inspections when required, and we haul away old equipment. You get a clean, code-compliant install.

If the line set is the right size and in good condition, we’ll flush/verify; otherwise we replace it. We’ll reuse your thermostat if it’s compatible, or install a smart thermostat with proper wiring.
