Zoned Comfort Without Ducts—Perfect for the Rio Grande Valley

Ductless Mini-Split Installation & Service

Ductless mini-splits (single- or multi-zone) deliver quiet, efficient cooling—and heating with heat-pump models—right where you need it. Treviño Repairs designs and installs systems sized to each room, verifies electrical and placement, runs neat line sets and drains, and commissions the equipment to manufacturer specs for reliable performance in Rio Grande Valley heat and our mild winters. We also service existing systems—electrical, airflow/drain, and refrigerant issues—so your mini-split stays whisper-quiet and efficient.

Room-by-Room Comfort — RGV Wide

Services for Ductless Mini-Split Systems

We plan and install ductless systems that fit your space, usage, and budget. After a quick load check per room, we help you choose single-zone heads for problem rooms or multi-zone setups for whole-home comfort, then map indoor head locations, line-set routes, and condensate options. On install day we protect the work area, set outdoor units on a pad or wall bracket, run line sets and drains cleanly, make code-compliant electrical connections, and commission the system for quiet, efficient operation.

We install & service:

  • Single-zone and multi-zone ductless mini-splits (cooling only or heat pump)
  • Wall, ceiling cassette, and floor-mount indoor units; line-set covers for a clean exterior
  • Electrical: dedicated circuits, disconnects/whips, surge protection (as needed)
  • Condensate solutions: gravity drains, traps, condensate pumps, and safeties
  • Repairs: fan/capacitor/board issues, sensor/thermostat errors, drain clogs, coil cleaning
  • Performance checks: delta-T, superheat/subcooling (where applicable), airflow and noise

Best practices & code items (as applicable):

  • Correct line-set sizing/length & elevation limits; nitrogen pressure test and deep vacuum
  • Clean flares torqued to spec (or brazed joints where specified) with nitrogen purge
  • Proper communication cable type/polarity; tidy penetrations and weather seals
  • Clearances, anchoring, vibration isolation, and GFCI/AFCI where required
Old equipment haul-away, neat workmanship, and a homeowner walkthrough included.

Single-Zone vs. Multi-Zone — and Where Mini-Splits Shine

Choose single-zone for hot/cold problem rooms, home offices, garages/sunrooms, or additions where extending ductwork is costly. Pick multi-zone when you want whole-home zoning—different temperatures in different rooms—with one outdoor unit serving multiple indoor heads. Inverter-driven mini-splits modulate output, so right-sizing each room matters: we consider room size, windows, insulation, sun exposure, and doorways to set capacity and head style (wall, cassette, floor). Good installs also protect performance with correct line-set length/elevation, quiet head placement away from beds/work areas, and tidy drains (pumps only when gravity won’t work).

When to Schedule Ductless Mini-Split Repair

If your mini-split is blowing warm air, short-cycling, dripping water from the head, showing error codes, growing ice on the lines, getting noisy, or leaving rooms uneven, it’s time for service. Treviño Repairs isolates whether the fault is electrical/controls, airflow/drain, or refrigerant, then performs a clean, code-compliant repair and verifies quiet, efficient operation for your RGV home or business.

What to Expect with Treviño Repairs

Our Ductless Mini-Split Installation Process

  1. Assess & Options. Room-by-room load check, discuss single- vs. multi-zone, pick head styles/locations and line-set routes; clear pricing.

  2. Protect & Prep. Shoe covers, drop cloths, safe shutoffs, layout marks, and pad or wall-bracket placement.

  3. Set Outdoor & Mount Indoor. Level and anchor the condenser; mount indoor heads, verify clearances and condensate routing.

  4. Run Line Sets & Drains. Core drill neatly, install line-set covers, route gravity drains or condensate pumps with traps/safeties, seal penetrations.

  5. Electrical & Controls. Install dedicated circuit/disconnect/whip, verify grounding and polarity, pull communication cable, and check voltage.

  6. Pressure Test, Vacuum & Start-Up. Nitrogen pressure test, pull deep vacuum, open valves/charge per spec, then verify delta-T, fan speeds, and quiet operation.

  7. Clean Up & Walkthrough. Tidy the area, review filter cleaning and seasonal care, remote basics, and document model/serials for your records.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Ductless Mini Split Questions, Answered

Straightforward answers before you book—symptoms, costs, fixes.

Depends on model and capacity. Multi-zone condensers commonly support 2–5+ heads; we size the total BTUs and each room load so all zones perform well.

High on an interior wall (or ceiling cassette) with good airflow and a clean drain route. We avoid blowing directly at beds/desks and keep clearances per manufacturer.

Most are heat pumps and do great in the RGV’s mild winters. We set expectations for low-temperature performance and size auxiliary heat only if needed.

A dedicated circuit, outdoor disconnect, and proper grounding. We verify breaker size, wire gauge, and surge protection as appropriate.

We follow manufacturer procedures: correct line-set sizing, nitrogen pressure test, deep vacuum, and charge verification (superheat/subcooling where applicable).
